Little Acorns seeds were sown from our passion for something different - to provide an unhurried childhood where engagement and connection with nature, learning holistically, with personal well-being and nurturing the soul as important, if not more, to academic achievement. We want to create opportunities for hands-on-learning and memories to last a lifetime, not just virtual ones in front of a screen.
Hence Little Acorns grew!
Little Acorns is a social enterprise delivering the highest quality nature-based and holistic learning opportunities for children and families in Ayrshire and SW Scotland.

Emily and Antti founded Little Acorns in 2017 through a passion to nurture through nature.
Where Little Acorns Grow to Might Oaks.
It’s hard to imagine a more idyllic location for outdoor learning! We’re based at the former Scottish Agricultural College headquarters at Auchincruive, 2 miles from Ayr town centre on the edge of River Ayr. We work in partnership with River Garden and Allanvale Land Investments Ltd. enjoying over 50 acres of wonderfully wild space. We also have a purpose-built forest school site with play gym, a yurt, vegetable garden, meadow and composting toilet and an indoor classroom space.

We are committed to employing the very best so we can provide the best service to our community. All our staff are specially trained, experts in their field and members of the Disclosure Scotland Scheme. We are an accredited Living Wage Scheme Employer meaning that we pay our staff fairly.
