Family Forest School

Join us for our Family Forest School Sessions (Carers, Befrienders, grandparents- open to all!). Taking place on a monthly basis. Based at the Little Acorns Wood and Meadow and over 40 acres of walled garden, ancient woodland, orchard and wildflower meadow as well as our purpose-built forest school site. All the family welcome!

A relaxed and unhurried session of seasonal natural crafts, story telling, music making, den building, bushcraft, nature learning, muddy play, exploration, discovery (and whatever else you and your wee ones feel inspired for in the great outdoors! ) plus plenty of fresh air to blow away the cobwebs. All topped off with a campfire and fresh organic snack (and maybe a melted chocolate treat or two!). Oh and a warm cuppa for the adults :)

Each session is facilitated and planned by our experienced leaders and trained staff. Our Family Forest School follows our nature and holistic, Waldorf Steiner-inspired philosophy for both children and adults to learn and be together. It's a chance for your child especially to build up their confidence in the outside world whilst working both in groups and independently at their own pace and to spend quality time together as a family.

Just like in nature; there is great strength in diversity - As such this is a session that is open to a broad age range (recommended from confident walkers to around 13 years and their parents but babies welcome too, we have a cosy yurt space and baby changing) where young and old can grow, learn and be together.

Our group leaders plans each session based on the age of those attending and their interests- so please let us know on the booking form.
