A Hands-On, Unique and Personal Animal Experience!

Join us for heart-warming sessions where you’ll get up close and personal with our adorable and curious farm animals.

Meet Pascal, Lady, Bramble and Poppy- our baby pygmy goats! These playful characters love a good scratch and a gentle stroll on a lead through the beautiful Auchincruive Estate.

There’s also our friendly flock of rescue chickens and trio of cute call ducks- learn all about how to care for them and collect freshly laid eggs straight from the coop.

Curious about bees - Join us for a fascinating introduction to beekeeping and discover the magic and importance of these tiny pollinators living in our hives.

There is also the option to make quality crafts to take home as a keepsake of your time with us and to visit our private forest school site and vegetable garden for a play!

Perfect for families and children of all ages, animal lovers and anyone interested in learning more about sustainable small scale farming. Come for the fun, leave with new knowledge, new skills and new animal friends!

Typical sessions are for 1-1.5hrs but can be tailored to your needs.

Group Booking - Animal Experience

  • A hands-on experience for groups- from a small group of friends and family to a full class of eager learners. Meet our loveable pygmy goats, cheeky chickens, adorable ducks and buzzing bees, groom the goats and take them for a walk on the beautiful Auchincruive Estate, feed and play with them. Combine your visit with a trip to our Forest School, vegetable garden or as part of a wider outdoor learning programme. Learn all about how to care for the animals, collect eggs to take home with you, learn about sustainable small-scale farming and create memorable crafts as a keepsake of your time.

Farm Friends- After School Farm Club

  • For children 6-12 yrs. Come join us at Little Acorns Farm for our hands-on weekly Farm Club where you'll meet the cutest, cuddliest, curious and most definitely cheekiest goats, chickens honey bees and ducks!

    Each week, the young farmers will roll up their sleeves and get stuck into real small-scale real farm life:

    • Feeding and caring for our animals

    • Learning all about their life cycles, what they eat and drink and how to look after them

    • Working as a team with kindness and camaraderie, team games and activities

    • Forage for safe wild goat feed and collect eggs

    • Walk the goats on a lead and supporting their training

    • Inspect beehives and learn about the lifecycle of the bees

    • Groom the goats and help build enrichment obstacles and activities

    • Learn about composting, vegetable growing and permaculture sustainable farming

    • Help to repair fences and enclosures using simple tools under supervision

    • Farm-themed crafts for keepsakes

    Plus- earn a 'Farm Friends' Badge at the end of term as you learn about each of our animals and demonstrate your new knowledge and skills!
